If Chip Shops had Michelin Stars – Tettenhall’s The Newbridge would have a handful of them by now! Its slogan – Gourmet Food on the Go… is no idle claim. Genuinely renowned for its battered chips and glorious, top quality fish, The Newbridge is owned and run by Andy Calleja and in his time the accolades have been flowing. And deservedly so!
A local lad, born and bred in the area, Andy has worked in catering for more than 15 years and has always strived to excel. Almost immediately on opening, as The Newbridge Fryer, they became a quality award holder and have held this ongoing award regularly from the Seafish Authority.
Says Andy: “Each year the fast food shop and our staff are assessed to make sure we maintain the highest standards. And it allowed us to enter the national chip shop contest in which we were placed among the top five chip shops in the West Midlands.” Frequented by a loyal clientele and several local celebs – including local football legend Steve Bull and Temper aka Arron Bird, Wolverhampton’s very own, Globally known graffiti artist.
New lines in 2013 include Paninis, rice pots, pasta pots (low in sugar and saturates) and pasta salad bowls.

First delivery orders can be taken Monday – Friday from 6pm (5pm at weekends).
Last delivery orders are at 9.45 pm Monday to Saturday (10 pm on Fridays) and 9pm on Sundays.
The Newbridge opening hours are Mon – Thurs 11.30 am – 10 pm, Fri – 11.30 am 10.30 pm, Sat – 11.30 am – 10.00 pm and Sun 4.30 pm – 9.30 pm.
